Little update

I normally take Fridays to write letters and update y'all that way. Truth be told, it's my favorite day of the week not just because it's Friday but because I enjoy linking up as well.

However, there have been some exciting happenings around these parts. Originally I was going to give my notice at work for the end of September but it looks like things have changed. I got called into HR's office (which, coincidentally, is the same person who broke my confidentiality by divulging the information about my being pregnant to my boss even after I asked her repeatedly to not tell him because I didn't want to stress him out before a big hearing). Alas, I digress. Anyway, there was a laundry list of things I'm doing wrong and I barely read any of them because I was so devastated and upset. And embarrassed.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise because I marched back to my desk and turned in my letter of resignation. Yep, I'm moving on. My last day is September 7th. I'm absolutely terrified but I think I'm doing what is best for my family. I cannot spend another day crying at my desk, even though moments like that have happened on a daily basis these days.

I need to be a jerk for a second and say to whoever it is at work who ratted me out months ago about my blog, if you're still reading I do appreciate it. Your clicks count as blog traffic. Also, if you think you can go to HR or whoever and tell them something they don't already know, sorry but I beat you to it.

So that's my big news I guess. I'm going to take a little break and hopefully get to enjoy being pregnant this time around instead of being worried and stressed the entire time. Trust me, I deserve it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and start to the weekend!! Here's my sweet happy boy this morning. This definitely makes the bad times few and far between.

  2. Okay, seriously, I am a little jealous! Okay a lot! There have been so many times that I've wanted to do that and lots of times recently. I hate when you work so hard and no one notices what you've done and then all you get at reviews is criticism. I know I have it better than most with my attorneys, but the staff I work with is ridiculous! I am going to live vicariously through you as you get to enjoy the benefits of SAHM work! :-)

  3. Aww, Valerie! I wish I could give you a hug. I just don't even know what to say, except that they don't deserve you and you are better off not being there! Feel free to pm me if you want. Know that I am thinking of you and your family. Also, please know that if you think this is best for your family, it is. Period--stop re-hashing it. Only you (and Josh) know what is best for you and yours.

  5. Ah man, what a rat bastard situation. Hopefully in a year you will be able to look back at this and reflect that it was the best thing that could have ever happened.
