Friday's Letters

That picture doesn't relate to this post, not really anyway, but whatever.  He's ready for the big game tonight!

I'm linking up with Ashley for these Friday's Letters.  Hope everyone has had a great week!!

Dear Oliver:  Please stay exactly as you are, my sweet little boy.  You are grown into a true gem and I am so happy to be your mommy.  Even the raspberries covered in cereal and carrots make me die laughing.

Dear Dos:  Please keep growing big and strong.  It was wonderful to see you yesterday and watch the blip of your heart on the screen.  Brought tears to mommy and daddy's eyes.

Dear Gamecocks:  Let's do this.  We all could use a 3peat!!!!

Dear Finances:  Lay off.  Enough is enough already.  We could really use a break, please.

Dear Boss:  I'm not your punching bag.  Would you mind stop pretending like I am?  Thanks.

Dear God:  I know I ask for a lot (at least it feels like it to me sometimes) but can you help my family out some?  We are good people.  Can't we catch a break in the financial struggles department, just for a little while?

Dear Josh's Mom:  We are having a second baby.  I need you to get your shit together.  You still haven't met your now 6 month old grandson.  We live 15 minutes from you.  This is getting ridiculous.  Fix it.

  1. Found you from the Friday Letter's link and thought I'd say hi. Saw the Dear Gamecocks and had to comment. A part of me is pulling for them...just don't tell my die-hard Clemson fan of a husband whose name is Josh too! :) But seriously, it's not easy to win all those baseball games so I have respect for the players and Ray Tanner for their hard work.

    1. Thanks so much for stopping by!!! It really does mean a lot to me. You know I appreciate the props to my beloved Gamecocks as well. We shall see what happens.

Us girls that are married to Joshs are a lucky bunch, aren't we?

      Thanks again for stopping by!!

  2. Wow, that's crazy that Grandma hasn't seen her grandbaby yet! My parents let me down sometimes, but I can at least say they were there when both of my kids and all of my brothers kids were born. I hope she gets the message and learns to appreciate the cuteness that is Oliver. I am so glad Dos is growing and thriving as well! I also know about financial struggles. We are still worrying over a house that we haven't been able to sell for 5 years! Keep praying, and I know it will all work out!

    1. I wish I could let it go but every night when I'm playing with this fun little boy, I get weepy thinking about what she's missing out on. I know my mom not being around makes it that much worse. I really appreciate you stopping by to say hello. It is genuinely nice to know there are other people out there who can relate to what's happening with my little family.

  3. Oliver is the best baby anyone could ask for. Anyone who hasn't met him is truly missing out. Maybe one day she will come around.

    1. Ha ha, maybe those beginning months of a blur weren't fun but the baby we have now is so much freaking fun! I hate that he has no clue who she is. I don't think we've ever even spoken her name in his presence.

  7. I love the finances part, seriously. they suck. We have had so many unexpected bills for next month, I think we both {hubby & I} will need 5 jobs before they are all happy.
Oliver is such a cutie, love that precious baby face!

    1. I'm glad we aren't alone. I feel sometimes like a failure as a parent.

  8. Oliver looks totally precious in that picture. He is very handsome in a hat.

How very, very sad about your mother in law. It's her loss. But it's Oliver's loss too. Crappy situation.

    1. You are the only person who actually gets it that's it's Oliver's loss too!!!!! I've been trying until I'm blue in the face to explain this to my mom. I cry all the time about what he is missing. Ugh.

  9. I always love reading your letters! Oliver looks absolutely adorable in that photo, I love the hat. Sorry to hear about your MIL I can't even imagine how that would feel. Have you asked her why she thinks this is ok?

    1. I tried to reach out to her alone and she rebuffed me. Josh tried again about a month ago and she said she didn't want me around. I was even okay with that as long as her husband wasn't involved. So she said no and Josh told her he never wanted to speak to her again. So I guess that's where we are now.

  10. Cutest stinking baby picture ever!! What a shame that she hasn't tried to meet him. Definitely her loss! I will pray for a major change of heart for her!!
