9 weeks (1 day late)

It's been CRAZY hot here and our ac couldn't keep up so we spent most of the weekend out at other places to try and stay cool.  Sorry this Dos update is one day late!!!

How far along? 9 Weeks

Baby's size? Prune.

Weight Gain? None so far.  Trust me, I have pounds I can stand to lose.

Maternity clothes? Not yet.  Still a little early for that.

Stretch marks? I've gained and lost weight so much throughout my lifetime so I've had stretch marks since high school.  Yay me.

Belly Button in or out? Should stay an inny like last time.

Sleeping? Besides having crazy dreams and waking up at least 3 times to use the bathroom, I'm good.  I'm kind of exhausted all the time though.  Guess that's pretty normal.

Foods I am loving? None so far.

Foods I'm hating? I'm having aversions to literally everything.  Nothing sounds good.  I can eat but I can never be the one to pick the food because it all sounds blah to me right now.

Movement? Nothing yet.  Should start feeling flutters in a few weeks, I hope!

Best moment this week? Having the ultrasound tech tell me that all looked great and the baby had a strong heartbeat.  I've never been more relieved in my life.

Symptoms? I am constantly nauseous.  It's pretty much from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to sleep.  I'm so grateful to be pregnant so I'm not complaining.  It should start to subside by 16 weeks.

Gender? Still a little too early for that.  All the fun Chinese Gender Predictors say Boy but I'm really getting the feeling it's a girl.   Not sure why.

What I miss? Diet Coke.  Yep, that's all I miss.

What I'm looking forward to? Finding out the gender in about 10 more weeks.  Man, that seems so far away!!

Milestones: None yet.

Emotions: I've been pretty edgy and moody the past few days.  I'd imagine the 104+ temperatures for 3 days may have played a role in that.  I'm so lucky and blessed though and I cannot complain.  It'll be nice to be able to drink water without gagging though.

  1. Eeek. I just got so excited for you reading your update. I am SO done having babies, but I always (well, 2 times) liked being pregnant. I seriously considered being a surrogate, but I never had a full term pregnancy so I'd never be allowed to do it.

  2. After I get out of this first part, it's usually pretty good. Well I say that like I'm a pro!! I'm sorry about your pregnancies. I feel so horrible for women who have difficult pregnancies.

If dos is a boy I think we are done as well. If not, I want to have at least one more boy. Ha ha if I get a choice in the matter.

  3. Sweet! I can't wait to follow the journey. Hope it is an easy pregnancy! While I am a big fan of 2 boys and am nervous about having a girl one day, I think a sweet little girl would be such a blessing too. Plus, I think every daddy needs a daughter like we need our sons! :-)
